The Learning Tower

In the mornings when I make coffee and Douglas is in the shower, I pray it isn't one of those three legged mornings.
Those mornings are when Levi clings to my leg as I grind the coffee beans.  By the time I am pouring the water in the coffeemaker, my left arm is cramping because I am holding 22 pounds with it and pouring with the other.  Those three legged and cramped arm mornings usually result in weak coffee and simple toast.

Levi also loves to watch us cooking.  In the evenings when either one of us is making dinner, the free parent holds Levi.  It can get a bit crowded.

Apparently Levi is not the only toddler who likes to know what's what in the kitchen.  There is the popular but oh-so-pricey Learning Tower.  The tower is a safety stool that allows the toddler to watch and participate in kitchen (or other elevated areas) activities until he's well into kindergarten.

So after I added the Learning Tower to my Amazon cart I googled up promo codes, reluctant to fork over that much cash.  No promo codes.  Dragging my feet, I looked at some reviews about the Learning Tower and read a mother's complaint that it was impossible to find an used one on Craigslist.

On a whim I looked up "the learning tower" on Craigslist.

I couldn't believe my eyes.  There was one for sale, and right by where Douglas works.  Score!

This morning Levi let me make excellent coffee and a nice breakfast.
