July 20: HOT

The Paris heatwave was waiting for us when we returned from Nice.  Bright and hot.  No breeze.  Ronit and Benjamin, a Parisienne couple we met in Israel a few years ago, invited us over for a day at the pool.  Pools are big in Paris.

So to Creteil we went.  Slathering on sunscreen every 80 minutes (observed by a very guilty mama--Levi slowly but surely became darker during our stay in Paris), we chased the scant shade that was available at the pool and found relief only in the cool water and fake waves.

Levi played with Noaz, Ronit and Benjamin's 22 month old son.  Levi gave the ball to Noaz and said, "Share."

Um.  Noaz was not sharing.  Levi thanked Noaz and asked again to share.  No luck there.

He got a little luckier with a group of girls who were the daughters of Ronit's friend.  One of them shared a lollipop with Levi.  Levi did not thank her.

Hanging out at the pool as if we were locals with no looming departure date was pretty cool.
